Environment Agency Pollution Prevention Guidance Notes (PPG's)

Pollution Prevention Guidance Notes (PPGs)

The PPGs below are available free of charge from the Environment Agency.  We have made them available here for you so that you don't have to go searching around the net to find them. They have been converted to HTML format for ease of use and downloading.  The PDF version is available separately.

Each PPG is targeted at a particular industrial sector or activity and aims to provide advice on statutory responsibilities and good environmental practice.  As well as being used by the Agencies staff, the PPGs also function as invaluable sources of advice for industry and members of the public.

Any notes pointed are to be used as guidance only and are not intended as an interpretation of the Law.  Users should seek the assistance of their local Environment Agency office for specific meanings or other help in making decisions regarding absorbent materials or spill kits.
